Wayne N. Fox

Wayne N. Fox is President and Chief Operating Officer of Realty Management Associates, Inc. Mr. Fox is responsible for managing and coordinating the affairs of Realty Management Associates, Inc. and is actively involved both in the development and investment activities of the company. He has extensive experience in real estate management with an emphasis on marketing. He has in-depth knowledge of budgeting, marketing techniques, market analysis, financial structuring and negotiating with sellers, lenders, and public agencies.

Mr. Fox has served as President of Realty Management Associates, Inc. since 1983. In 1986 he acquired all of the corporation’s assets and today is not only President but Chief Operating Officer as well.

Upon receiving his Master’s Degree in Business Management, Mr. Fox was employed by Starrett Housing Corporation, one of the largest commercial and residential developers in New York State. He was promoted to the position of Project Manager responsible for the pre-construction and operating management of large multi-family residential housing communities in the New York metropolitan area.

Following his employment at Starrett, Mr. Fox accepted the position of Vice President with the National Corporation for Housing Partnerships of Washington, D.C. During his six-year tenure with that corporation, Mr. Fox was responsible for over $400 million of a diversified real estate portfolio. His responsibilities included the responsibility for the property management staff of approximately 150 individuals. Mr. Fox was responsible for all management, development, sales and acquisition of properties within his Region.

Wayne Fox’s commitment to affordable housing was affirmed when he was elected President of the Board of Directors of the National Affordable Housing Management Association at its October 25th -27th, 2002, meeting at the Hyatt Crystal City, in Arlington, Virginia. “This is a very exciting time for NAHMA,” he said. “The affordable housing industry is facing its greatest challenge as the availability of housing shrinks, yet the need grows. For NAHMA, that means we must aggressively advocate for our legislative priorities. At the same time, we must accelerate our efforts to make professional standards an industry priority and build our organization so that we can strengthen each of the regional affordable housing management associations across the country that support our efforts in Washington.

Mr. Fox is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a Certified Housing Tax Credit Professional (HCCP) and holds an MA in Business Management from the New School for Social Research in New York and a BA in Psychology from the City College of New York. He is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the National Housing Conference, The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA)-Board of Directors, The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), The National Housing Conference (NHC)-Board of Directors, the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA)-President.

Mr. Fox has also been responsible for the development of several apartment and commercial properties, in addition to a preparatory educational facility. This included site selection, land acquisition, selection of the professional team, planning construction and permanent financing, and negotiations with general contractors for the following projects:
